A few more Qs
« on: April 12, 2004, 10:31:34 AM »
hey guys , been driving my vitara a real lot lately, in 2 more days time the milage meter will be set back to 0 for me lol ;D

anyway, i am looking to doing a few mor mods to my zuki, one of them is a custom "a" bar i am having made, it would cost me abou 300 euros, not bad in my opinion, i am also starting the sound install in it too.

What i want to ask is, since i do not offroad with mine, i do not need to increase artic,  but ilike the look of a 4X4, but i have noticed the vitara has loads of body roll, so i wanna install air suspension (remember not for offroading) i wanna be able to keep it maybe just a lil more thant stock height, and be able to lower it if i want, any idea where to get a air suspension system for the vitara, complete?

if u want air suspention...like air bags? or air shocks? u wont be able to get a complete "kit" for a vitara..ull need to do some reasearch then buy all of the components for whatever system u plan on ding

then either do it urself or take all of ur crap to a shop and have them do it a friends civic is bagged rides NICE like a caddy..plus its fun to play with the bags..he just bought everything he would need then took it to a shop and let them install it

im not totaly sure how what kind of air bags ud need to retain stock height..do u really want to retain stock height? the whole fun of bags is slamming the frame to the ground =) might want to think about that

u can also do..air shocks?? i dont know to much about that but they have an adjustable height shock type thingy(sry lol) that will also work for ur purpose i dont know how well itl ride though

well GL

oh and the stereo..ur stock alt will NOT cut it..it will however last though =) mins has done about 1,200watts RMS and 2,400watts max for 9-10 months lol

my boss has the air shocks in his 95 suburban with a 4" lift, it does not raise and lower the vehicle it just makes the ride alot more firm or a lot more soft.

my lug nuts require more torque then my engine makes ;)

I prefer to slam it down, by dropping off a rock ledge...

But hey, it sounds like an interesting thing to do to a "city zook"...

Go wider, with wheel spacers or more offset wheels. That helps cut body roll a lot.
