stock hubs

i know this si gunna sound bad  ;D but i have never used 4x4 in my car before....and i thought that my hubs might be locked which would add to my poor gas milage..so i looked they said free..but i was just gunna turn em and make sure they were seated..but they wont move

what am i doing wrong??

im used to my moms 4x4..just switch and go lol

They've probably siezed up. You might have to take them apart and lube them up.  You're suppose to put them in the lock position once a month and drive around a few miles so they self-lubricate.  If this is not done, moisture gets in there and causes it to weld up with rust.

You could try and use some pliars and turn them to see what happens.

well ill probably swtich to some warn manuel hubs anyways..just wondering why these didnt move

good to know about the maintence though..ill be sure to do that when i get new hubs

I got a frozen hub at the Pick-a-Part for $2.50
a little time, a wire wheel and some grease, good
as new, and a lot less that a pair of Warns.

Stock hubs are good, stick with them.
