PA is a big state.  I live in PGH, but my 87 Sammy is all original, bone stock, and a daily driver.  I wouldn't mind some mild forest two-rut driving, but I think I'll stear clear of rock-climbing or mud-bogging.  I haven't found anyplace locally where I can legally go off-road, but honestly I haven't pursued it.

Ya it is. I'm from NEPA around the Scranton area. The nearest place to legally go off roading by me is Raush Creek Offroad Park which is around 2 hrs away

There are some old railroad bed and tracks above Forest City and north into wayne county. I am up just across the border in NY. Most all our off roading is on private land, so some ass kissing and smoozzzing is required! LOL

I've been to Rausch Creek,
This is NOT a swim in the KIDDIE POOL !!
The basic trails are going to be a challange to a stock vehicles, but I saw a 2011 Family with a Pathfinder out there,
Missing a running board, and some mounding trim, Hope they have a understanding insurance agent !!
Pretty INTENCE TRAILS !! VERY ROCKY, I'm saying pot size & Bigger everywhere on all trails.
It is laid out well, just..................
If you need anything BRING IT WITH YOU !!!!!!!
I camped over and they don't even have potable water available for the camping area!!
