What to do with old parts?
« on: May 18, 2005, 04:07:19 AM »
After my Calmini 2" lift, I have some parts left over.  Factory A-arms, diff. drop brackets, rear springs.  What do I do with all this stuff.

I'm not going to put it back on, and the stuff doesn't sell on ebay, so do I toss it or what?

Any idea's?

I have the same problem.

You could offer it up for FREE, here - you pay the shipping, and it's yours!

I got rid of my plastic rocker panel covers doing the "it's yours, pay shipping" ... it was a 5lb package to nova scotia ($20 in shipping), but the buyer was happy ... go figure.

Our stock pile of old parts is huge.
I keep trying to find other suzuki people to dump them on, only to find out they have huge parts piles too.

I ended up tossing mine in the shop scrap pile so Scott could get a little $'s off of it when he took the scrap trailer to the recyclers. I still have all the stock stuff off of my X-90 sitting in the floor beside my parts tracker ::) One of these day's I'm actually going to get a flat bed to pick it up and bring it over to my house (if Scott does not burn it first) :P

Glad they worked for ya ... I just kept looking at them in a pile thinking "who would want those?" ... guess you never know. Strange you need them for "safety"  ;)

You could use the A arms as headstones for broken CV's and Front Thirds.

Weld the springs together to make a fancy mailbox pole.

I'm a little stumped on the diff brackets though, maybe clean them up paint a smile on them and sell them as modern art?
