Late Model Lifted at Last

Result of blood, sweat and tears.
Rocky Road Rock Steady 4" - this is NOT a promotion of this kit.
It was an extreme PITA.  If I had any idea, I would never have begun this project.
However, it does look pretty friggin cool.

31/10.50 15 BFG's on -28 offset 15x8 el-cheapo Discount Tire alloys.
You can see the 1.5" gap above rear bumper cover.

3 hours of fender trimming in the tire shop, expect it to still rub on 45 degree turn under compression.

Stretched front bumper cover - no bumper relocation

Stretched rear bumper cover - no bumper relocation

Anyone know of a bigger brake kit?  Do Grand Vitara's have bigger brakes?

Yes, the Gv brakes are bigger, front and rear.  But they will require you to swap to 16" rims.

yah exactly, when me and my bro and my uncle put a 4" linft in my bro's ranger it was kidn nof a pain in the ass because the hoist wasnt avaliable at my uncles shop so we needed to use a different one, then we had problems because every thing on that ranger is like rivited and with the new lift they are all bolts so we had to use a air chissel to get the rivets out.

but in the end it worked out perfect

looks great too

The steering linkage was extended by a custom fabrication shop.   The strut tower brace was simply tightened down over the body, no cutting.  I had to remove the battery to line up the bolts on the drivers side.
Camber partially corrected with 12mm cam bolts.  This is a concern, I may have struts slotted eventually.

Camber adjustment - Specialty Products EZ Cam XR 81250 - 12mm
Found these at a local parts store for about $25, they were listed as Specialty Products not EZ Cam.  Just call around for 81250 cam bolts - made for Volkswagon, etc.  Rarely listed for Vitara/Tracker

I've seen those bolts on cars at the wrecking yard,
I think I'll snag the next set I see, if they are the
right size.

Wild,
just hope there isn't a correlation between the bolts and the wrecking yard. :o
