Why not just use it as is, you got the other half
of the key, and it don't fit in any other car.  ;)

Aside from that, I took the ignition lock all apart,
I don't remember if you could get to the key from
there, but I know the thing will come apart with the
right tools, funny thing is, I haven't got a clue what
tools you'll need, it's been 4 years since I had it apart.

All he needs to do is HOTWIRE!!!! It's fun getting pulled over for speeding in YOUR car when you lost the keys (girlfriend did not remember she had then in her purse when she left that morning), so your speeding to work, late, in YOUR car that you had to hotwire to get there :P That was realy fun trying to explain to the police. It was even more fun trying to tell the boss the story about me sitting in the back of a police cruser for over an hour as they ran my ID, VIN, tags and everything else they could think of, search through the entire car, then say, oh were sorry this appears to be your car, have a good day >:(
