I ran shocks from a 92 F250 front end with new shock towers. It allowed for plenty of flex and worked well with an RUF conversion.
Those shocks might have been a little heave duty without the miles put on 93 F250 before installing new shocks on it. But that SJ with all its "lets try this" ideas, turned into an awesome trail rig that we haven't matched yet.
