I stopped by the local Cabales's sporting good store with the wife about a month after Christmas 2015. I had never actually visited a Cabelas's store before, although I do receive their sales fliers all the time. We just happened to stop at this one because it had opened just a few months prior to Christmas. Turns out they have a "mark down" room. We always check out the markdown areas. I honestly wasn't expecting to find much, because I had no idea what the mark down area contained that day. I scored a Cabelas's branded Carhart type jacket that was marked down for $30. It was the only one in my size in the room oddly enough.
They also had one of the Warn medium duty recovery kits for $150. The box had been opened. Everything was still there and unused. The gloves were even still wrapped. I debated buying the recovery kit. I looked at it then put it back on the shelf. Thought about it some more then put it into our cart and continued shopping, still thinking about it. I decided to go ahead and buy it. During during checkout, it turns out yet another Cabelas's mark down applied to it and it rang up for $75. Just dumb luck me being at the right place at the right time. It happens once in awhile. I don't complain when it does.
Having shoulder straps on the bag makes it easier to haul around, but honestly, I just pull what I need from the bag and leave the bag inside the truck.
