What Petrol Should I use in Thailand
« on: March 26, 2018, 08:57:31 AM »
Hi
I am brand new to this forum so please be tolerant as I feel my way along. I own a Suzuki Caribian 1994 Model, SJ413 1300cc with carburetor (Thai Model)
In Thailand we have: 91 octane Benzine, 95 Octane Benzine, E10, E20, 95 Gasahol, 91 Gasahol
I try to use 95 Benzine when I can get, if not available I use 95 Gasahol.
Please help me here, what should I be using.
Thanks
Mick

Anything over 87 Octane should be fine, if possible avoid anything with ethanol.

Thanks
Sometimes I have to use Gasahol as Benzine unavailable, have always used 95.
Will now move to 91 benzine and see how it runs.

Octane ratings and the ways that they measure them vary by country so beware, our USA 87 octane is equivalent to a European 89-90 octane so your mileage may literally vary.
