V6 Water Pump !!

Gday, just new on this forum.. ;)
I have a 97 V6 Vitara and it needs a new Water Pump, I have investigated and its not a small job !! Complete front cover off.. Any tips ?? or just straightforward job..  ???

All done now, after working in my garage for two days in 42 degree heat ! (celcius)
I found a few shortcuts, so if u need to do one, PM me..

Oh, man that's a lot of work, but not nearly as much as replacing the timing chain tensioners!!!

And that's 108 degrees farenheit!!!  No fun at all!
Takes plenty of cold beer to do that kind of work!

Farenheit,  ??? I remember that from school days ! Yeah quite a few coldies were consumed after the event  ;) I replaced the main tensioner while I was in there. Considering it had been updated for my model, although I could not find out why. (any idea ?) Its a lot quieter on start up now..
I also found a Suzuki tech article that talks about the correct use of Coolant. Basically its a big no no to use silicate based coolant. Some of ours over here is still weakly based on silicates. (meaning premature seal wear) I am now going to Nulon as it is organic based and is good for seals.  ;D
