HE WAS TAKING EMAILS MONTHS AGO FOR A CONTACT LIST ONCE HE HAD THEM...HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING YET  ???

I think Shrockworks has this setup for the Sami and Xterra from their website.

In review of yours, I see they can be mod'd a little more. There is a lot of space between the sliders and the bottom of the door. By raising them and still keeping them out, you gain ground clearance under the door sill. To what extent does it amount to, depends, unless you've mod'd the frame like Lil' Truck.....LOL. :o :o

And Yes, I've read how many times you've gone through with the body lift scenario...Now that's funny.... ;D ;D

What I'm talking about is under the pages of Shrockworks. The square mounts come off the frame, and under the door kick panel. Then a tube is added not horizontal, but angled some to provide a slight increase in the protection as well as ground.


Yah, the body lift has always been in contention for me.  

Our rock guards/nerf bars are level with the top of the frame, not the bottom, so i got about an inch and ahalf above the bottom of the frame before it hits the nerf barfs.  If I had made upward angling brackets we could have made the nerf barfs closer to the body, BUT...

A body lift gets the body higher from the ground, away from damage and allows for neato things like larger tires which is good, but it also raises your center of gravity.

I think with the SAS conversion we are doing I can drop the body back down to just about an inch above stock and still have clearence for the lifted gas tank and lifted exhaust and then the 'nerf bars' will fit just right.

Jag-7, its neat to see that somebody actually looked at our design with some thought, because we had a hard time deciding how to do ours when we were building and this was one of those discusson topics.  It's like you where right there in my mind when we were there makin' em.

 Yeah Nate, I'm glad WE came up with that idea t mount them the way we did. Hehe! We designed the bars to be able to mount the bars with and wihtout bodylift. The only difference without, is the mounting plate sticks up instead of pointing down like it is on Heather's.
Manufacturing them once the measurements are figured out, isn't too bad. If you want them, I can make more, not a problem.
