I e-mailed them about a month ago, and the said that hopefully they would have them in a couple 6-8 weeks, and I emailed them at the end of december, but I have not heard any thing else on how they are coming, email them, and let them know that you are interested, it might speed up production times.

I don't know, these bolt to the body

1/4" if you want lighter, Me I always

I think they are the Overland made items. They fix to the chassis rail with a large clamp arrangement.  They are both heavy and bulky I would expect the cost with carriage to the States to come to well over $500 so I should thing it would be way cheaper to get some made yourself.

That's them Overland, I couldn't remember the name.
I think I'm going to make some similar, not quite as
bulky as those, and bolt to the empty holes that are
left from the plastic beauty trim that used to live there.

Thanks Rhino   ;)

I'm thinking those in the picture are decent enough. However, I'd add a little tube to act as a step. But not necessarily a step to get in/out of vehicle, it would be used as a step where a person can stand on while holding on to help ballast the weight through a slow crawl. Second, when off-camber, the extra sticking out would hit first before any body (most of the time), and act as a skid. Third can be used to skid around a verticle obstacle (ie. tree). Fourth, would help those in the back seat to be able to get in/out either via the door or through the open back end (conv't). Fifth, would help pull over a rolled-over vehicle. See many uses........
I think Shrockworks has this setup for the Sami and Xterra from their website.

I'm not sure if uprighting a vehicle by pulling
on the sliders is a good idea, I just want mine
to be bolted to the sheet metal, not frame mounted.

My kids love to jump into the back by using the tire
when the top is off, makes a great step.  :)

I want to make a set that more closely conform to
the body shape there, and probably from 1/8" stock

In review of yours, I see they can be mod'd a little more. There is a lot of space between the sliders and the bottom of the door. By raising them and still keeping them out, you gain ground clearance under the door sill. To what extent does it amount to, depends, unless you've mod'd the frame like Lil' Truck.....LOL. :o :o

And Yes, I've read how many times you've gone through with the body lift scenario...Now that's funny.... ;D ;D

(All stated with a little sarcasm...ok maybe a little more than little.....)

What I'm talking about is under the pages of Shrockworks. The square mounts come off the frame, and under the door kick panel. Then a tube is added not horizontal, but angled some to provide a slight increase in the protection as well as ground.
