Places in KY to offroad
« on: May 11, 2005, 04:21:59 PM »
Hi there,

I've been looking for someplace near the Northern KY or Cincinnati OH area to do some mild family oriented off roading.  There used to be trails by a dam nearby, but i hear they have been closed.  Does anyone know of a place or an internet or other resource for finding a place.

The nearest i have found is the Daniel Boone National Forest, but its about 100 miles south of me.

Thanks
Chris

Most of teh we-go members ride in Salde, KY [natural bridge aera]. It is probably a good drive from you. the kentucky outback park is pretty sweet from what i hear, it is also a good drive from you, west towards morehead, KY.

There is also Haspin Acres . there isnt much rocks at haspin, but there is alot of mud and some steep hills. We go there quite a bit b/c its only a about 40 miles from me.

Do you live in N. KY.? or Ohio?

We went here last fall and its a very good place to ride. Its got some pretty steep hills some with rocks some without. I live 30 miles west of Cincinnati in Indiana, and Haspin aint a bad place to ride.

Thanks for all the links!

I live in Covington, right across the river from Cincinnati BTW. The only off-roading i get to do right now is in the backyards of my rental properties.

Theres a place over in Florence that supposedly has some really steep hills if you like to climb. Its not very big though. Ill find out exactly where.

Thanks, that would be great.

Im hoping for something i can take my 6 year old daughter on, so I dont really need extreme offroading, just some trails.  I know thats terribly dissapointing to you guys, but if i break Trogdor my daughter will never forgive me.
