Cleaning plastic headlights?
« on: January 20, 2004, 02:49:17 AM »
My GF's '93 Dodge Caravan has the muddy looking headlights that seem to be too common with cars having plastic light assemblies. Does anybody have any ideas on how to clean them? I thought about removing the surface film with some super fine steel wool and polishing them with some polishing compound made for older car paint finishes. Will this work or will it damage them further?

Ideas, anyone?

McGuires for plexiglass and polycarbonate aircraft
windshields works to polish out the fine scratches
after the steel wool treatment, it's so fine it don't
cut the heavy crud too well tho
