« on: March 31, 2005, 04:03:52 AM »
Hello ,   Does anyone know what thread and size the rose joint is on the calmini 3 inch lift  Rear A arm for the middle axle mount.   I have a feeling mine is on the way out.

I here its not covered under warranty so I thought I would source locally.

Help would be great cheers ....

I will check mine tomorrow if you haven't had an answer by then, might have to check with Zeus if its an imperial thread. Rallye Design may have some and they do the boots for them too  ;D. Its a bit dumb having an exposed joint on an offroader.

Hi,
You're talking about this part, right ? :

According to my trusty calipers, the thread is 3/4" diameter, with 16 threads/inch.
(My new Calmini lift showed up today  ;)    )

For about $50-70 that open one
can be replaced with a nylon filled
unit that is made of Stainless or forged
aluminum, stronger, and keeps the dirt out

An offroad store here in California
called Kar-Tech I think, I got some
parts there for my new 6" lift front
suspension.

They are in Riverside Ca.
post the hole size and the thread
size, right or left thread and pitch,
I'll see what they cost. Smaller ones
I bought were $40 ea 5/8" thread
and 1/2' hole size if I remember right

Well 2 and a bit weeks later and still no part ..... >:(

Does anyone know the hole size and the thread
size, right or left thread and pitch details so I can try spidertrax, or perhaps Wild can try Kar Tech?

Thanks

Nick

From the information posted by Robert above and looking here:

http://www.bmh.com.au/norton/imperial_thread_chart.htm

its 3/4 UNF stub. I haven't got my Verniers handy and I can't tell whether its a 7/16" bore or 1/2". It is a R/H thread.

Thanks for everyone's help.

If calmini can't deliver soon, and no one can measure he bore size, I will strip mine off and have a look. I didn't want to be off the road for this, but my truck is almost uncontrollable when you hit ruts in the road.

cheers

Well according to my maths 7/16 is 11.1mm and 1/2" is 12.5mm. I've had a look at mine with the Verniers and the bolt looks like an M12 metric bolt but I don't have my thread gauge to hand.  So it could be a 1/2" bore but if the clearance on a 7/16" hole is more than 0.9mm then it could be one of those too  ???
