Jeep Drivers
« on: January 11, 2004, 08:04:42 AM »
In the last few weeks, I have been cut off, challenged to race and generally been pissed off by the actions of jeep drivers.
I could understand it,  and possibly think it was something I was doing to provoke such behavior if there were other types of vehicles involved.  I never have trouble with anyone else and my driving habits don't change when jeeps are in my vicinity.

Are they pissed because they payed almost twice what I did for my Vitara?

Please help me understand what I am up against.

They just have "Vitara envy" I find if you ignore them it pisses em off more, and I love it! ;D

And yes I get it to when I drive my Sami.

for them "the jeep thing " is trying to race people because they think they are fast just cause the have 4.2L. and because they think that they are so good because the costed them so much money. Jeeps are just heaps of steaming poo as far as i am concerned and they are jelous the trackers/sammi's,vitars and sidekicks are way better 4x4's then any jeep ever made.

my lug nuts require more torque then my engine makes ;)

hey guys just think about this:  some folks are just numb they go through life with their senses half working.  They don't see too well, they don't feel too well. they don't smell too well... you get the idea :)
These are the kinda  folks that drive with a flopping smoking flat tire and only pull pull over to the side of the road cuz somebody else  just flagged then down.
These kinda folks can get stuck and need a tow just pulling over to the sholder of the road.

So they figure THEY would be safer in a 4WD
these are the folks that Buy Jeeps!  they can't  help but drive like  idiots, cutting people off,  running people off the road and basicly not having a clue....... just be glad they are not semi truck drivers or comercial airplane pilots.. oops some of them are .....shrug.

Yeah, and here's what the scumbag ran from!  We ended up having to part it out because we had taken the collision off due to it's age, and since he split, we didn't have any info to get him!!

I hate to say it, but, get used to it :-/ It will continue to happen untill you confirm with the norm, and drive a Heep like they do. For some reason alot of Heep owners will get an attitude against Suzukis because you are not a part of the flock of sheep they joined when they bought a Heep, so they could build it like the one their friend has.

I use to get it around town all the time (when I first started building it), but it has dropped off. Now I only get it from new people in town. Almost everytime someone new visits or joins our club, I hear the comments, they challange me, the entire club laughs (newbee not knowing why) and we head to a trail. I usually let them lead, to try to go somewhere I can not, but if they want me to lead I take them to some good rock ledges and wait at the top. ;)

The bad part is that it is usually close to stock rides that get the attitude. Inexperiance, I guess :-/ I guess they think 33's are 33's and my Jeep is "Trail Rated" ::) But little do they know Zuk's are trail TESTED ;D

I've been lucky enough to always wheel with people who couldn't care less what you're driving. We hear "should've gotten a chevy" and all sorts of jokes all the time, but that's all they are - jokes. Everyone around here is semi-smart enough to realize that to build a really good rig you're going to have combined parts so brand-loyalty is just plain stupid.

Anyone else tired of hearing idiots that DRIVE Jeeps, or even DON'T drive jeeps refer to a Toyota FJ40, Suzuki Samurai, or Diahatsu Seat or Feroza as a jeep! GRR. I don't call their Honda a Kia... ;)
