Yes narrow track Jeep axles are 1.5-2" widwe than the Kick rear axles. I looked at doing this once and then crenged at the thought of a Jeep part on my Kick. Not to mention the all of the Shit I would get from the Jeep guys in the club.
Oh Yea, be carefull of VTD's (vehicular transmitted diseases). Transplanting a tainted Jeep part onto a Suzuki my cause your vehicle to spontainously get stuck on easy trails or break down for no reason.
Beware, Jeep parts are just a collection of other parts put together, either stock, aftermarket, or built. It's the same for Suzuki's and any other manufacturer. The hardware is not of their original design. Like anyone in a business, it's best to minimize cost on the 'adaptability' of the collection of parts to make it work.
Hopefully you do know that the only axle under a Jeep which could be considered a Jeep axle is the AMC 20. Basically all other axles are Dana Spicer. Dana Spicer is a differential manufacturer. So if you considered a D30 for a front axle, upgrade it in the axles and joints, and never worry about breaking it.
Build your vehicle to handle your type of driving and terrain which you do it in. When someone rips on you about using certain parts on your build, then just explain that as mod'd, as cost, as the way you drive like you stole it, don't need a tow vehicle and flat bed trailer, it's cost effective and still cheaper than what they claim to be better. If not, just have fun and don't take what someone's rippen on you personally. As you can always, just drive away, whereas they may need a tow or ride home.
What comes to mind is the recent ride where the YJ broke a D35 axle shaft and his 33-35" tire was coming out. The yellow Tracker, which climbed the hill, was able to drive home, and drive to work the next day.
