hEY I WANNA GET a locker in the rear of my 95 tracker , do i need the one with the side gears or no, if it helps it is a lsi

I think the one without the side gears is better incase you have a bent housing it will not slip!

you will need the sidegears if the sidegears in you tracker are worn out..  lata stu

I would definitely recommend against getting the model that has it's own sidegears. If you Suzuki sidegears are worn, GSP replacements are available from Hawk Strictly Suzuki or your local Suzuki dealer. Using the Suzuki sidegear style locker is highly recommended.

It would take a lot of wear to need side gears,
I installed a rear locker when I had over 240K
Miles on the Trucklet, and the locker has worked
flawlessly for going on 3 years now, and this is
my daily driver at about 300 miles per week
plus fun time  ;D   Skip the side gears, if your
diff is working fine now, it will be fine with the locker.

What brand locker would you guys recommend? Is the rear ends more suseptble to breakege with one? If so too what degree? thanks

Most Loc-Rite style lockers are about the same
in construction, I found I could of ordered mine
direct from an LA supplier and saved 20 or 40
Bucks but around $200-240 is average price, check
Cal-Mini, they didn't have any when I called so I
ordered it through a local 4x4 shop.

Do they make auto lockers for the front?  Also, wouldnt it break parts if you were stuck in the mud trying to fling mud and that thing engaged?

No broken axles yet, and yes you can get an
auto locker for the front, you won't like it, makes
your trucklet turn like crap, and no an auto locker
won't engage it is always engaged until one wheel
turns at a different speed then it ratchets to allow
a turn, well sort of, get an air locker for the front,
you will like that one, and it's worth the $$

That's the price for awsome traction, I
still say it's worth the $$, besides you
can't break it and you can transfer it to
another Kick, besides you saved lots of
bucks on the Kick, now you got $$ to spend.

Ive purchased a sidekick and samurai lockright locker from rocky road .Probably cheaper than anyone else.

WARNING:  running a front locker will increase the amount of broken front end parts.  you will(i'll put money on it) blow up third members or CVs.  their are many ways to solve this.  i am going though the same thing right now.  look in the artical archive from Hagens front end upgrade story.  lata stu
