Hello all. I am visiting my friend who a couple years ago I helped pick up a 94 sidekick which he had been dreaming about getting since he had one while stationed overseas in the Azores.
I am here for 3 weeks and I always like to do something nice for him when I come visit since I have a lot of time sitting around while he is at work. Bother of the front door panels vynal is cut in several places and looks pretty bad with the cardboard underneath showing. Along with doing a full interior detail I though I might take a crack at peeling off the old covering and re upholstering them. Since interior door panels for these cars appear to be in very short supply and most of the available aftermarket stuff is made for the manual window cars this seemed like the only way to really fix them up.
Does anyone have any input on what material would be usable to be able to form it around the power window arm rest and also be easily cleanable after those long dirt road hunting excursions? was thinking maybe neoprene or some sort of vinyl that could stretch with heat and not look too deformed.
Unless people know where I could pick up an aftermarket solution for under 150 bucks or so that works for power window cars
Thanks!
