Did some snow wheeling today!!!;D
« on: December 18, 2003, 02:10:20 PM »
Went up Iron Mtn. Road and almost made it to hwy 88 before I got stuck.

My shovel broke so I had to get out the high lift to aid in removing the snow..

Not bad for open diffs and balding tires.

Yeah its alot of fun, but the snow is alot deeper than it looks my car is sitting on about 2 feet of snow that has been compacted so the ground is about 2 feet deeper than where my car is sitting.  How do I know? Because I had to dig my way our with a bucket.

you should drive a samurai with 31's on the snow, when I first got mine I was following snowmobiles up in the hill's, when I stopped to get out by an intersection on the dirt logging road there was a sign sticking up out of the snow about six inches! so I guess there was six to seven feet under me, I had no problems at all. all stock with a spoa and a fiberglass hard top on it. prob. 2300 lbs. on bfg allterrains with 20 lbs air.
1987,1988,1988,1990 samurai's,  1953 m38a1,  1996 x-90,blue.1996 x-90 red.1994 2 door tracker.   only Dead Fish go with the flow.                No Hairy Nosed Wombats were ran over on the trail today.       My ZUK is Xenophobic.
