If you had the money --- for a lift !!!
« on: December 07, 2003, 01:49:55 PM »
Boy -- the more I read the more I get confused .
If you had the money -- not a bunch but say $400 to $500 -- what lift would you get ??
 I am looking for :
Use as a every day ride -
wanting to put 29" to 31" tires under it -
someday putting the VW diesel motor in it -
Keep it kind of a "Sleeper" so to speak . I don't want the extream off road look .. -
Oh -- And hopefully a bolt on ..

What would be your ideas guy's -- I'm getting lost .

I feel I asked this before -- but there are so many to choose from ???

 Thanks guy's -- Mac0

Opps -- 87' Samurai - stock 1.3 motor for now.
Almost got stuck in some mud here yesterday so it is time for some new tires. It only has 235x15 street tires on it now.

I have the BDS lift kit for about 2 years now with no problems and decent ride. It was bolt on with springs, shocks, all new urethane bushings, dropped pitman arm, new u-bolts, and sway bar relocators for $750. The pitman arm and shocks were optional so if you didn't get them it would drop about $225 or so off the price. What I really like is if you break it they'll replace it.  Check them out |removethispart|@  http://www.bds-suspension.com/suspensionsystems_1suzuki.html . If you click on the contact at the bottom they will send prices if I remember correctly.
locked,5.8:1 Tcase, 5.12's, 35x12.5Xterrain's, 4" BDS L/O, Ford towers, 5-8" shackles w/reverse, tracbar, Yota P/S, diffs capped, skidplates, onboard air, fabbed bumpers & shafts, Herculined, airhorns

SPOA is the cheapest if you peice it yourself=$129.95 sky mfg z-link    $60 spring perches anywhere     offset rims 15x8.5 $136.99-4wheel parts lynwood, wash(if you want a tire wider then a 9.50)  ==$326.94 ($200 with out rims)before tires you really can't get cheaper then that unless you have tires&rims allready and there is only a small amount of welding required for the amount of lift received forso few pennys in my mind this is the cheapest and most affective lift for your buck ;D
