XL-7 down travel limiter

With front tire off one side and no weight on the suspension, I measured the coil's height to find out about the down travel. It was 10.5". I then disconnected the sway bar hoping for more down travel.
There wasn't any change. So I totally removed the bar to see how the vehicle acts for the next few weeks. Looks like the strut is the down travel limiter. Lift will be coming with tax money next year. Anyone have a  comparison to a stock suspension and that of the Calmini's lift?

Yup I do.  The calmini lift rocks.  A bit pricey but worth it if you are going to off-road.  The ride is stiff at frist but softens up some but stays a little stiffer than stock.  Also this kit is the only one that I know of that dose the lift the right way.  All my picc on the XL-7 group (under george)  are with this kit on.

Ok cool. Can you do a measurement with full droop? Measure from the side of the coil (facing outward towards the tire) at the control arm to the lip of the coil mount. On the stock lower control arm, there is a small flat level surface. I measured here.
Under static conditions, it's 9" stock height.
I know there will be differences between the control arms of stock vs Calmini, but atleast this is a start for measuring.
Since you have the lift on, would you think air bags rather than the steel coils would benefit the lift and function of a long wheelbase not as wide vehicle?

Lastly, and probably pretty far fetch dual t-case setup. The t-case is a drop and right side front output, the 3rd crossmember holds a ds bearing, would you happen to know of a t-case which is left side output and bolt to the back of the Suzuki XL-7's auto tranny? What I'm looking at researching is a dual t-case setup. A Toyota case can be divorced. With a drop and right side front output, I think it'll fit fine on that 3rd crossmember. Just have to configure a t-case in front. (Easy way of doing something like this would be to swap the 4wd tranny/t-case combo for a 2wd tranny, and dual Toyota cases.)

We've been looking at OTT Industries Kicker 2 case setup.  It remanufacturers the original kick case and allows a bolt on of a toyota transfer case.

I'm still doing some homework on this, but it looks the be the best option for dual transfer cases at this time.

The strut is the limiting factor with the Track/Kick too. When I did my lift I jacked up the wishbone with no spring on. I found there was 2" of travel left on the strut so I made up spacers to drop the top of the strut. That gave me loads more articulation but I had to remove the sway bar as it fouled on the steering towards full droop.

The sway bar must be in a different location than
the Sidekick, my steering is over the sway bar and
as the suspension moves, the sway does too, so the
steering and the bar stay about the same gap apart.

What Zook you have again James? Does it have a
rack and pinion or a steering box and links ?
