Really sweet rig
« on: November 22, 2003, 10:14:44 AM »
in my yahoo group, a guy just joined today and he stuffed a xl7 motor in a 95 tracker LSI, complete with big ass tires and a lift.

Haven't had a chance yet to bs with him on this but it is a nice looking ride.

Come have a look

Mike you are certainly crazy, possessed perhaps, but NOT retarded!   ;D

Go to photos, if the link is not active, then you have to join the group.  then navigate to the photos link.  Then on the photos page, (it should load up at this point) I use the show all to see all the photos.  Look for the photo called 95 XL7.  Its a red 2 door LSI tracker

Here's the link perhaps this will work.  There are three photos of this rig.

Looks like he's gone with leafs in the front as well...at least I'd guess that from the gaping holes where his front struts should be  :-/

I bet its all stock with XL7 trans and wiring harnesses spliced into the stock 95 body harness? ;D
Looks like he couldn't fit the regular fan and used dual electric fans too.
Hmmm....used 95 rear driveshaft shortened with 2001 front yoke and balanced.Front stock shaft from 2001 with 1.25" spacer.
I bet he pulled his hair out trying to figure out the wiring diagrams and actually getting them to work!!
But i bet it sure helps out passing on the freeways now. ;D ::)

Man... After driving my mom's GV out of town this weekend I was really fantasizing about putting one of those motors in my Kick. This isn't helping! That's awesome, 95XL7!!!

Of course, we'd love more details and especially more pics. If you want a place to host them, let me know... I'll hook you up.
