How exactly does this work, and what does it consist of to do this? What are the benifits and disadvantages to doing this? I found the Calmini kit for sale and was wondering what exactly it does, and how it basically goes together thats different from the factory design........

i have the calmini shackle reversal with the 5" super lift and let me tell you, its the smoothest ride and the best lift kit you can buy for under 900 out the door. the way the shackle reversal works is this, there are two brackets that bolt to the front of the frame rails under the bumper(so if u run the stock bumper you have to cut a bit away) and that is the fixed point for the front leafs as opposed to stock samurai has shackles in the very front. the result is that you can take 3 foot whoopdie doos at 35mph hehehe basically since the springs compress back instead of front you get a much smoother ride. i highly reccommend it but i implore that you consider the whole super lift kit from calmini it beats old man emu on the spring action and its a complete bolt on kit, lock stock and barrell that will have people stopping and taking pictures of what your sammi is capable of, ask me i just got back from pismo, broke twice and proceeded to stop traffic with my 3 foot vertical wall jumping(pull up, pop it and pop pop your up) heheheh i lost all the bolts in my transfer case and smoked my tranny but farqin A totally worth it when girls are yellin and flashes are snappin!
