If your into rock crawling, I'd either go for a Samurai (which somes stock with a solid axel) and save up for the Calmini "rockcrawler" gears.

If you were wanting a sidekick I'd wait for the new solid axel kit to come out sometime in the spring. Then throw some lower gears into it once you have the chance. (This option is more expensive)

I think the two main things you need for rockcrawling are...

1) Long suspension travel (flex) :  Which is best achieved with a solid axel in front and back, and a suspension lift of your choice.

2) Gearing:  The lower gearing you get the more control you will have in the rocks.  If your too heavy on the throttle due to a higher gearing ratio, then you will end up breaking stuff.

Yup Calmini will be offering the full meal deal when the kit is released.  (The solid front axel, the suspension lift, the new CV and SYE drive shafts)

I personally like Calmini because their kits come fully equipped and their product is built tough.

I’ve heard stories about other lift manufacturers that don’t send you everything you need, or they cut corners here and there.

Calmini does it right.  They have done their homework and include everything you need in their kits to lift your truck the proper way.
