The autumn months offer some of the most beautiful scenery in North America. From endless shoreline to exquisite fall foliage, American Suzuki has created a list of the most scenic and beautiful driving tours that motorists can enjoy and at their own pace.

The list begins with the Blue Ridge Parkway extending from Virginia to Tennessee.  This scenic highway is over 450 miles of numerous varieties of trees, lush valleys and wildlife.

Whether it be traveling along Route 7, or taking the many back roads and byways, Vermont is sure to please with its spectacular display of color and nature.

Take Route 169, the Norwhich-Woodstock Turnpike in Connecticut and pass through many small historic towns of the state and view buildings, homes and churches from the mid-1800’s.

Lancaster County, via US-30, provides visitors with a glimpse of the intriguing Amish, Mennonite and Brethren culture.  Visitors get a taste not only of gorgeous countryside, but also of a different way of life.

The Florida Keys Scenic Highway, US 1 is perfect for those looking to enjoy warm temperatures and spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

The mid-west also has many interesting routes including The Historic National Road in Illinois along US 40.  This road is known as the “Main Street of Americaâ€? due to its historic towns and buildings.

The Bear Lake-Caribou Scenic Byway stretches across the borders of Utah and Idaho and offers visitors the chance to enjoy camping, fishing, boating and amazing scenery.

The western United States also provides fantastic roads for travelers.  Beginning in Northern California, continuing through the coast of Oregon up to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington, Highway 101 is sure to please.

California Highway 1 is perfect for those who enjoy the warm sunny beaches of Southern California.  Starting in San Diego and going all the way along the coast to San Francisco, this drive gives travelers a taste of some of the best sites the state has to offer.

The Historic Columbia River Highway in Oregon, referred to by some as the “King of the Roads, provides many trails for bikers and hikers and is a favorite among the true outdoors enthusiasts.

This list is just a sample of the best places to visit in the country and Suzuki has an entire line of vehicles that are suitable for any journey.  Please visit www.suzuki.com for more information.

The United States is such a beautiful country, I would love to travel on cross country trips like that one day.  But first I have to explore the rest of Canada.  ;D
