Why is it when all the cool stuff is happening nobody has a camera!!

Last sunday we were all out for an afternoon of R&R (Redline and Retardation) and low and behold everybody has caught the crazy bug. I reach in the glove box and realize I forgot the camera, AGAIN!

Well somebodys got to have one... right? Of coarse not.
Heres A quick rundown:
We were wheeling at a gravel pit that had been turned into a mini off road park. I knew It was going to an interesting day when Blake and Dan brought stock 2WD trackers. Blake says All I want to take home in one piece is the motor.

He then warmed up by jumping it several times until he got a little sloopy and rolled it onto its side.

He flipped the top up and climbed out laughing all the way. His passenger wasnt so quick at getting out so we pushed it all the way over with him in it!

I bet he will get out faster next time. This was all within the first hour. That damn little rig lasted around 6 hours of ridiculous abuse. We were airing that thing out continuously and it only came off the rev limiter long enough to switch drivers, passengers, and to die laughing. this wasnt the only rig going nuts...
Dan was taking his 2WD up the dunes like it was 4wd. I was watching from accross the ridge. A f 250 was hammering into the dune going about 2/3s the way up. When he was done Dan comes flying at the dune about 40mph and goes over. The dirt biker standing next to me says this guy should be doing comercials for Suzuki! Then I told him it was only a 2WD... he couldnt belive it.
I locked up both front struts from jumping so much. Whats the warrantee on OME struts.

I cant complain, they lasted over a year. Given what Ive done to them I guess I cant expect too much more. Then I blew a RF inner axle stub. It was also very called for. I was flying up this hill at a high rate of speed (6000rpm 4th gear low range) and the ruts threw the right tire into a wall and stopped me dead in my tracks. OUCH! Not very often I bend my idler down.

So I ran around the last hour in 2WD too! So on my way home Dan and I were cranking up the freeway when I heard a high speed wine getting really loud and then it felt like I was in neutral. I shifted down to 4th and found it worked fine and kept going. Wow, another trans bites the dust. At least I got to drive it home

I think thats the most Ive broke all year!
This is my second crazy run this year with no camera! Every other event Ive had a camera. I should put a string on that thing!

Just thought Id share a day of wheeling with yall

Mike
