R/C Tracker
« on: November 06, 2003, 07:40:22 AM »
I just stopped by the local "Dollar General" Store to get my wife some M&M's and what did I find? An early 90's Radio Controlled Tracker for $10. I had to have one. The detail is pretty decent except for the blower and headers sticking out of the hood but I can fix that. Anyway, if you're looking for a unusual Tracker/Sidekick toy and live near a Dollar General Store check it out before the kids get'm all.
;D

Here is the pic, please excuse the quality, my camera is ancient.

Here's 2 more.

I have been removing the decals so the paint looks a little sticky in the pics.

Thats sweet!

Comes with a winch bumper and a set of baja claws to boot  ;D

You should make a little vinyl top to cover up the back box.  Would look exactly like a tracker that way  8)

I was thinking the same thing. It will soon be too cold outside to work on the "real" Tracker so this will help the winter seem shorter.

Please post the manufacturer and part # of this little beast...we don't have the Dollar General Store in Canada...but maybe I can find a store that has them.

Thanks!

SpinalTap,
Sorry, but it was made just for Dollar General Stores. They had 3 versions: Camo, Police (black and white with lights on top) and the red one that I got.

Zig,
Here's a hardtop model on E-Bay.

The hobbie site was  www.hlj.com  ( hobbie link japan).  The model goes by Escudo Hardtop. The web site is in japanese but theres a download from the site when you log on  for some translations. I think the kit # is 03371 or id-72. Its not a bad kit but not as detailed as thier sammy kits.
