Where to get differential fill plug
« on: October 08, 2003, 08:30:12 PM »
I just bought a used sidekick 92 and I wanted to check and change the gear oil.  The problem is the fill plug is completely stripped.  Will just the local auto store have the replacement?  I have the Hayes manual but I don't know what size it is so if I have to order a new one online.  I don't want to attempt to take it off untill I have an replacement.  Thanks in advance for the replys

My local Jiffy Lube had a replacement that worked in mine... (I was lazy one day) took it to have all of it's drivetrain fluids changed, and when they got to the rear diff, they took it out and claimed it stripped. They managed to have a new one down below that worked.

I'm not saying that all will.... but... you might give it a try..

;D
