Go with 32"x11.5" on 15"x8" rims!

And why not 33"x12.5"!?

I got the 33x13.5x15" (Swampers are really 32.7")
tall on my kick with 15x8 Rockcrawler
rims with 2.5" backspace, adjust the turn stops so you don't
put the rubber into the front bumper at full compression.

I only have 1" higher body lift over the Cal-Mini setup
so you should be good if you open up the wheel wells
and fenders, also the rear axle needs to be rotated
rearward to increase clearance from the front of the body,
it's a good idea to reduce driveline angle anyway.

32"s are safe, 33"s are a bit close if your not totaly
clearanced, also lookup the "real" inches the tires that
you want are, some might call them 32s but really are
only 31.5" tall or somthing like that,
good luck

How's the highway speed with those big boys!  I just put 30x9.5x15 on my Tracker and I noticed a little drop in highway speed, of corse I think there may have been a headwind.  I need to start tapping into the high end power of my Tracker now.

I need gears bad, I still am running the stock 4.62s rear end gears.
I was going to swap over to some 5.12s out of a man trans equiped
kick but they crushed the car before I could get them out  :'(

5.12s aren't low enough anyway, it would be about the same as you
driving in 4th all time as the auto trans is a 1:1 final drive ratio.

the high point is that the 5.83s will put the gears ratios with 33"
rubber to the same (aprox) as stock with 205 tires !!

I have a set of street rubber that I run to keep from chewing up
the swampers, I run a set of 31x10.5s most of the time, as far as
top speed, remember I'm Turbo Charged!!, not much of a factor.

I got plenty of go, gears will just make it better, really I'm more worried
about the trans and the extra stress the big tires put on it, I have
250K miles on it and it's never been rebuilt.

A friend of mine was following me here in the mountains, he's got a
Tracker 16V, he was on 215 tires and was having to work it
hard to stay up with me running the 33s, so a little lower gears and I
will fly along in the mountains.

You can get them out of a junkyard, just have to be real lucky, the early sidekicks with the 1.3 motor came with 5.83's, if you can find one you can save yourself a pile of cash.

I've never seen a 1.3 sidekick, I figured they must
be harder to find than a regular sidekick, I only
started seeing those in the last 2 years, and they
are hard enough to find, I would start a suzuki only
wrecking yard if I had the place to do it, then I
could compeat with Hawks but here in So Cal.

Then I could built all kinds of cool IFS kickers  :D

Hey Wildgoody, that is a pretty nice shot of those meats.

Mac, I was curious. You wouldn't happen to know what year, when you mention that the earlier sidekicks with 1.3 motors came with 5.83s, would you. I figure I could try my luck around the yards before I go and shell my $600+.

Actually, guys, I think the 1.3 sidekicks came with 5.62's, NOT 5.83's. The 5.83's are what Richmond Gear is making for Calmini only. So far as I know...
