Anyone ever rolled a Sidekick?
« on: August 15, 2003, 06:53:49 AM »
I don't think I've ever seen a Sidekick lay over or roll over on a trail. Has this ever happened? It must have...

Chunk took a 15 foot or so drop to the lid with his old hard top. Actually the hard top looked pretty bad. It was a hard roll though.

I have also gone over but it was in sand and there was minimal damage. Door, fender, windshield, and tweaked the k frame a bit.

Jay took his over hard. It was on frozen mud which was a lot like uneven concrete! ouch. His was a soft top and it held up amazingly well. The tracker was destroyed but I don't think he was in any danger. The k frame shifted over a bit but did not crush. He put a new k frame on and windshield in, but kept all the wrinkles. :P

Chuck tipped on his side in the snow but no real damage.

Isn't it odd that most people don't put a roll bar in until AFTER they roll. ::)  I think it would be wise to add at least a rear hoop to these rigs if you plan on getting pretty wild.

Not a roll per se, but a buddy put his 94 tracker in the air twice while bear hunting in potter county.
Wish I had pix, from what I hear from eyewitnesses, its every bit as impressive as mike hagen trying to take flight. ;D
The Zuke is on its way out.  Getting a vehicle that will behave and be supported by the dealer.
