8v Vs. 16v
« on: August 17, 2003, 07:05:14 PM »
I was wondering what is the better deal to wheel with.

The 16v with the Calmini header/cat-back and K&N filter, or a decked out 8v (cam, either carbs or charger, header/cat-back). I ask this because I run the 16v but everything made seems to be for the 8v. Why is that, there can't be too much of a difference in the two, can there?

I used to own a 8 valve with calmini header, cam, ported intake, webber carb, shaved head, and Excel coil. My stock 16v with a 2inch cat back has more power and better gas milage hands down. I cant say how a turbo or supercharger would ride.

Then its settled, I'll keep what I've got. In the long run it'll work out better that way anyway. More money for other mods.  :D
