big problem started yesterday

yesterday when was was driven my 94 tracker....i noticed at idle it was a little rough. as the drive went on acceleration became kinda messed up....as id push on the gas the rpms would jump then dive. i brought it to my mechanic and after a few hrs he said it jsut needs a good old fashion tune up... just out of curiosity any one have any ideas y it was doin that

I had bad plug wires, it would idle fine, but get under power
and it would hit and miss cylinders, drove me nuts for 3 days
I changed the plugs, no helpthen the wires, after that it ran just fine.

ooo i can top that ...i jsut got the car back today...i had a fried cpu, bad plugs, and bad plug wires, and dirty fuel injectors. i was shocked lol

Did you go to a dealer? Sounds like a typical dealership screwing :o Maybee not, it just seems odd that the plugs/wires were bad and it just so happned that the cpu went bad too :-/

na i went to a texaco by my house... this is wa is on the bill....score + clear codes, repair tfs harness, fuel injection service, techtron, plugs, destcop, rotor, wires, air filter, and fuel filter....i had a k&n and they put sumthin else in ....y idk
