I'd like to try to make that... If I can get my new springs in, and a rear Toy axle with a new driveline by that time, I'll make a big effort to be there. I plan on buying a rear axle at the end of this month.

Sweet!

Hey Greg,

Have you had any luck convincing some of the MVC'ers to go? I'm hoping to 'twist some arms' at the meeting. :) It's this Wednesday, right?

Ya it was actully...I am getting pretty excited about this run. never been on an "overland adventure" before. Should be alot of fun. I thiught Kaine was gonna TRY to come. Unless you talked to him more? Oh and Lil Red is an 87 man.....come on!...lol. Now all I gotta do is replace the rear axle bearings, find a good top,and get all my campin stuff in order.

It will be my first too, I cant wait. Dad and I came out there years ago and spent time just riding around seeing the sites. Many times we wished we were in a 4x4 so we could just go cross country and see what was out there. Now we get too ;D

OK, so I'm getting all my stuff gathered for the trip. I purchased a new (small) tent and a 0 deg bag for me, and I'm renting the same for dad. I'm bringing a couple of cheap tarps to cover the tents just in case the weather gets real bad.

I've been warned about COLD but I need an idea of what to prepare for. How cold at night and how warm during the day should we be ready for? I'm gonna have to raid the outlet store for some clothes so I want to get the right stuff. Right now all the cold weather stuff I have is for hunting, and is to bulky for the trip.

17 days and counting 8)

10s-20s at night, up to 40s- 50s in the day. Looks like it already been snowing so prepare for that. Oh and you should have come on wednesday. That is the night of our club meeting. Having said that there are some people who might come over on thursday when you get here.

Zig, on your back, if you are near KC on the weekend, come on by. We could hit KS Rocks Park for a couple of hours. It's on the lower east side of KS so you could just zip down to I-44  to Hwy 60 and head east back into TN.
