Mazda I've found is cheaper than $150, and more hp ::)
I may end up doing it...but at this point the cost really outwieghs the benifits. The injection really can't liven this thing up too much more. When I put the 4valve head back on the compression will take the hp  back down to stock, which is like 75. the way it feels, I am making more than that now!
Rotary is 140hp....and the same weight. A lot of mods to get it in.....but to be able to run 100 mph with 33s?(if I ever get crazy enough to try!)
I already have 5.12s in the axles, and the motor revs hard now, and I am getting ready to put t-case gears in. I need something with a better rpm range. The rotary loves to rev!
Like I said though.....if I continue with it, I will keep you updated.

True a rotary loves to rev. Have owned and built several 7's. Just remember that you have very little torque without some kind of "chemical" assistance on the bottom (i.e. I found that nitrous worked very well. Rotary's don't typical ;) ). The rotary doesn't really come to life until about 3000 rpms, then the fun really begins. And makes sure you do a real good job with your cooling system, they run a tad on the warm side.

The guys I have talked to say stock, the the rotary has more torque than the sammy engine in the bottom end....which isn't saying much....with 5.12s in the axles, and 4.16 to 1s in the t-case, it should be able to rev while I crawl!
