The Chevy Trackers are the same vehicle and have 15" wheels.  Several people have claimed that they brakes aren't any different between the GV and Tracker, Chevy just got the wheels specially made to clear the brake calipers.  But I can't confirm that ;)

Okay here is what i have heard.

15s don't fit without spacers to clear the rotors if it came with 16s originally.

They must make 16"inch rockcrawler wheels.

If you go to www.americanracing.com and scroll down to application guide.  The company states that the series No 767 will fit but I have not seen any GV with them.
1999 Suzuki GV 2 inch BDS Springs, 2 inch RRO body lift, Old Man Emu struts, Rancho shocks, 30" BFG A/T tires, Cobra CB with PA speaker.  Planning to get custom strut spacer made and a lockright locker in the rear in the near future.

I'll confirm it for ya. My "00 2-door 2.0 and "04 4-door 2.5 Tracker came with 15" wheels and the calipers are the exact same size as the Vit's. The rims must be custom jobs for these trucks because there aren't many other 15's that will fit.
I have tried fitting my chrome 15" AR wheels from my crashed "97 Tracker and they hit the calipers  on both the newer trucks.

15" rims from the Newer Trackers """WILL""" fit the Vitara.

Anybody know if this applies to Grand Vitaras?  I've got a line on a set (or two) of aluminum Tracker rims including the ZR2 style and wouldn't mind being able to run 30x9.5R15's or 235/75R15's.

Unfortunately the rims are 700 miles from me so I can't just pop over and test fit them. :P

THEY WILL FIT. GRAND VITARA, HYPER VITARA it doesn't make a differance. As long as they came from a 2.0 or 2.5 Liter "99+ Tracker.
I am not sure if the 1.6 Liter "99 Trackers have the brakes from the newer or the older models so I can't speak for those.

The canadian GV have 12.5" rotors and when measured with the calipers it measures 14.25"

Now most 15" steels inside diameter is 14.25-14.5 my American racing were 14.5 they fit but the caliper sits future out then the wheel face does so the back of the rim hits the outside of the caliper hense needing the 1" wheel spacer

15" tracker wheels will NOT fit over the calipers on a grand vitara.

personal experience

 - vehicle: 2000, 2.0L, 4 door Canadian Vitara

 - originally came with 16's

 - could not fit 15x7 rock crawler rims

 - got 1.25" wheel spacers - problem solved
'00 Vitara 2.0L 5spd w/ Jeff's lift, SR Customs body lift, 5.13's, rear locker, SR Customs steel pinion collar, 1.25" wheel spacers, 15x7, 31x10.5R15 Dynapro MT's.

Why would you want 15" rims so bad? Seems to me there are more tire options for the 16" wheels, I wanted a set for my old Trackick but couldn't find a set.
