Will 34s fit(pic)?
« on: July 13, 2005, 04:31:52 PM »

Well my TD swap is just about done and now I need some new tires. I am looking at the 34x10.50 LTBs. I have the 6" combo lift. What do I need to do to get these to fit. Right now the front end sits a littel lower than the rear. I think this is either form the springs saggin a little or some slightly bent strut towers. I am hoping a set of spring sapcer will correct this.

Will I have to pound back my floor panles at all? I already cut my fenders back a little and I am not worried about cutting more though? Any thoughts on getting these to fit would be great.. Thanks

jacob

Also how are the LTBs onroad? I know they do great offroad but they are bias ply so I am a wondering if they are unberable on road or not.

If you are wearing 32's now ... then stuff them, and crank them around and figure you'll need an extra 1" at the fender wall/lip, and probably another 1/2" at the frame.

My guess, you'll have to pound the firewall back some inside the front rear. Probably some more fender trimmig front AND back as well.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

you can easly fit the 34's with the 3+3.  you will need to trim the fenders back alittle more and push the floorboards back some but they should fit nicely.  welcome to the club, the big tire club ;D ;)

stu

P.S.  your making me want to do somthing with the TD in the corner of my shop :D

I am excited to get it done... I drove a sammy w/ 31s or 32s and stock gears I think with the same motor and it felt like the same power i hade with the kick motor, but i got all my power right of the bat.
