Fuel Leak
« on: August 05, 2005, 06:53:49 AM »
Hey everyone! Wow, its been so long, the forum changed its look! Anyway, I noticed a gas smell coming from under the hood the other day and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I left it for a few days because I thought it was just the exhaust smell from my (yes again!) broken exhaust system. The weird thing was it was a raw gas smell, so I left the truck running and noticed gas bubbling right around where the throttle cable (is that what it's called?) is located. Is there a gasket around here that can be easily replaced??
Thanks guys!

On the TBI system there is a little O-ring
that seals the fuel line, remove the 2, 10mm
bolts and remove the O-ring, you might need
a small sharp hook to get it off, you can buy
a seal hook for this purpose, and get a new
quality nitrile O-ring from your friendly local
parts house

Should do it, and welcome home
