Well, just got word from Rocky-Road that the Old Man Emu springs are in and I have a set shipping to me. These will be replacing my 'POS' Calmini springs that sagged all to h*ll. I will post install info and let everyone know how they do. I am sure with OME's reputation they will be quite a bit better than the Calmini (made in BF Egypt) models.

I'll keep ya posted.

The Rocky-Road OME kit is here. And I must say this is the first time a set of springs have brought a tear to my eye . ..

If they are half as good as they look, they will be AWESOME.

This weekend hopefully they we be on and ready to go expeditioning or something.

hmm, could be a good to use these in a GV to give more lift than the 35mm the OME GV springs do.

I am sure they would give a slight more lift. The OME numbers are OME956 for the front and 968 for the rear.

and, they'll be alot better than the calmini springs i have now.

Got the springs on the truck. As of right now I have an extra 3/4" in the rear and gained 2" in the front over the Calmini springs. I still need to get a front end alignment but I have the front end pretty straight, so I don't expect to lose too much with a camber adjustment.

Sorry no pics yet, I am having issues with my camera right now. I will get them up as soon as possible.

I can't begin to explain how much better these springs are. The ride is excellent, no nose diving on braking, tight in corners, soft on the road, I just can't believe how AWESOME these things are. Also they have leveled the truck beautifully, I am not a big fan of the foward rake on these new trucks, these springs address that and level the frame. Sweet lookin' I have to tell ya.

I need to get them off-road to see how they are gonna do, but I can almost guarantee they will out perform the CalStinky springs.

I guess you could say I am highly recommending these bad boys!!

Alright. Sorry about that. Just got my camera back from the Sanyo guys. So here it is before and after, notice the angle of the frame with nose down appearance. The before shot was taken before it had sagged quite so much but you can still see a difference there. I have added a red line to illustrate. Been driving on them for a couple of weeks now and still have 3/4" in rear and 2" in front over the Calstinky springs . . . go figure after looking at the comparisons they don't look it but I am no spring expert.

I did yes. Although it looks as though I would have had the same lift as the Calmini front springs with the OME's. That spacer though brought it back up to where the Calmini should have probably been. That's the only thing I can figure. I have to tell ya George, compared to the ride of Calmini's these things are like night and day better. Smooth ride but much more stable cornering. I don't know about you but after I put the body lift on I noticed a difference in the lean while cornering. Now it feels almost like it did before any of the work had been done. Totally satisfied so far. Zuwharrie Run is October 7-9 so I will be testing it out hard then. See if I come back with a major sag like the Calminis did. I think it was the frame twister that did in the Calmini springs. Just compressed them out of range and they stuck there. Who knows, probably inferior workmanship.
