Bought one of these from Intake Pro off e-bay. Price $42 included shipping. Fit was good and quality average. Filter is nothing special and can be replaced with any 3 inch inlet filter. Tube made of T-blah blah hi polished aluminm. Drilled for temp sensor and fitted with gromet to place sensor in. Comes with hose and clamps. No support brackets though! This is easy to make though. The filter is just 41/2 inchs short of the intake tube in the fender well. (from the stock air box) I fabbed a small scoop from the fender well tube and directed in to the cone filter. I do not know if this will direct any cooler air to the filter-but it might.
Performance wise a small loss at bottom end in second gear. That is the only loss. But a noticeable difference when you reach 4500 to 5000 rpm. It has a little more zip. Noise is not bad at all at 75mph. The only real noise is at hi rpm when it really starts to suck! Mileage wise a small gain from 23.8 to 24.1 mpg. In two weeks I will put make stock box and insert flat panel K&N and check the difference. Just some info I thought I would pass along. Anyone out there messed with the exaust system on the later GV's??
