Hello everybody!

My mechanic told me that the input shaft in my 1998 4WD Tracker is damaged. So two questions:

1. What would be less expensive (as in the sum of labor+parts): to replace just the input shaft; or to replace the whole transmission?

2. Can anyone suggest a reputable source of inexpensive transmission parts for Sidekick/Tracker in the US, and preferably central coast CA (I am in Santa Barbara) down to LA?

I have all stock parts and not interested in the high performance stuff. The mechanic charges me for the labor, but does not mark up the parts.

Hawk Suzuki is the place for GOOD used tranny parts or a complete transmission. They're not
the cheapest  but you can trust them.
