I need to know what type of brake lines are supposed to be used with the hybrid.
Do I just need to bend my own?

Really frustrated thought I would be able to reuse my old lines and they don't work
just looking for some guidance.

  Tell Brent what year axle you have and you will be able to reuse your old brake lines. If yours are trashed, just have him send new or used ones.

Could you tell me more on whats wrong? too short? I have one I need to put in one of these days(been laying in the shop for over a year)and three diffrent gear ratios to choose from,with the gas prices i might go with the 4.30's but the 4.88's look good(or better for off roading)but will have higher rpms on the road but I allways tow a trailer on long trips so it might not hurt for me to go lower I was in second gear on the eight percent grades last trip.

The Housing is USED.
My brake lines are fine I bought this housing from LocJaw.
My sammy is an 88 and I think the housing was for an 86. Locjaw do you remember???
the bake line for the driver side is too short and the brake line for the pass side is too long.
I may just bend my own, buy some tube from CRAP and bend them so they fit.
I'm not really wanting to wait untill the 14th to order lines when I need the rig running by then.

so can you break off the mount that holds the rubber brake lines and move it over some?

the housing is not year specific. works on all years. you might have to redo some brake lines but that aint no biggie, is it?
it's weird that it dont work , it's been so long ago that i put mine in i forget what all had to be done.

I'm just gonna borrow my clubs brake line bender and bend me up some brake lines tomorrow.
Figured it would be easier than calling trail tough on the 14th when they are open again..
I wrote the post while I was really pissed off and bummed out because I was hoping to get er back on the road today.

Not a big deal bending up some brake lines. esp when it's cheaper to buy straight line than pre bent lines.

Hey Bash what gears ya gunna run?

4.62 in the diffs going to do a trail run in em see how it goes and if I still don't think it's low enough I'm gonna get 4 to 1 's in the transfer case.

So, is the rear using a hybrid? (i.e. using a trak third) Or just the trac gears in a sami third?

I think you'll be happy with the 4.62's, when you go to even taller tires you might want the 4:1 tho ...

It use's a whole track third member(larger dia.) I think that the 4 to 1's would be the least gear reduction that you would need, mine are the 399.00 welded gears and they have taken alot of use and some abuse   after all there behind a 16 valve I've only had the front tires off the ground a few times  (read between the lines lol) It's only used to drive to church on sundays.

Take sammy outer part of the housing weld them on the track/ kick third member housing is what it looks like.

this wasn't a TT hybrid, but a homemade look alike (and obviously wasn't done to well) 

That can happen when you hit rocks with it,The stock tubes are perty thin and if it is scratched by a rock real good the tear will start there, trail tough and a few others offer a 3\16 thick tube rear end,sky even makes his own ends that hold the bearings on that are thicker.
