rear droop
« on: September 11, 2005, 06:28:46 AM »
I have my latest project up on stands and thought I'd share some pics of the rear ...

Here's why a diff drop bracket is a good thing.

This is with the axel level and at fill drop (in fact I think the limit at this point is the ball joint).
I'll try to get a pic at somepoint with the axel at ride height, but it is definetly binding when the springs are extended ...

Here's a pic of the OME springs, RRO spacers, and the longer shocks.

I did lever the other side a bit to get the shock to full extension. You can see that I'll be using some limit cables again here as well. I actually like the idea of the cables being the limit anyway.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

I have my stock coils + a 2" spacers captured (so they don't fall out like yours) and the springs themselves are the limiter. I had an stud added so I could use an eyelet to eyelet shock, and I still have about 2-3" of downtravel left.

Getting 14" long, 175 lb coilover springs and will fab mounts so that the shock can fully extend. 8)
