1.6 hesitation
« on: September 24, 2005, 06:48:01 PM »
in june i did the 1.6 swap in my sammie.  i used the 1.3 TBI and for some reason i have a hesitation when i accelerate down the road. it only happens at a certain point when i push the gas pedal.  after it gets past that point, it drives fine.

any ideas?

i tried the adjustment that is suggested in the Haynes manual.  did not corect the problem.  all of the measurements show that the sensor is good and i have a feeling that it may be the t.p.s..

have any suggestions of how to correct this by trial and error?

If all the readings are good for the TPS
I would look at a sticky flap in the MAF
OR are these heated wire type ???
