Front Recovery Point And Keeping Factory Bumper
« on: October 01, 2005, 12:29:25 AM »
Hey guys,

This is my first post and I've only owned my GV 3 door for about 1 month.

Has anyone put recovery hooks on the front whilst still keeping the factory bumper? I'm not at the stage of buying a bull bar atm and so want to keep the factory bumper.

Having had a look at it this morning is it possible to fabricate an extension bracket that effectively moves the recovery hook about 25cm forward so it sits in line with the front edge of the bumper? Basically where the factory tie-down point sits now.

yea pretty simple just go to a hardware store and buy two clevis hooks you're gonna need to grind the center a bit larger to fit around the the hook on your truck there you go instant recovery hooks
