I have a DGAS38 carb on a 1.3, 88, Sami. It's giving me fits. So...
1. Should I go to an electric fuel pump? I've heard Webers are sensitive to fuel pressure and I know my mechanical is putting out a lot of fuel (because of how much is going down the overflow). If yes, which pump?
2. This carb is a water choke, can I install a manual? I hate ANY auto chokes.

Your Weber DAGS 38 choke is semiauto. Haynes Weber manual explains all functions.

If you are concerened about fuel pressure, install a pressure regulator.

Yes you can install an elect fuel pump.
