Paragon Thanksgiving Run
« on: October 11, 2005, 02:00:17 PM »
hello everybody,
we're gettin some people together to make a trip to paragon friday, saturday, and possibly sunday after thanksgiving.  there will be a few samurais, landcruisers and whoever else we can get to go, we'll hopefully have a stocker group and a little more advanced group, so no matter what your vehicle is bring it out and it'll be a great time.  if anyone doesn't know what paragon is, it's an OHV park in NE Pennsylvania, here is the link to the website www.paragonap.com

That would be cool. I'm not completely recovered from Gonzukin yet, though ;) I still have some issues with Silver and the Goblin is not doing well at the moment, either... Maybe I can talk my g/f into letting me take her explorer on 32's... ;)
Had a cool sig pic till I changed the text... sigh...

Well, actually the pics were not what hurt... the landing that hurt the most was the last one on that rutted bike jump off to the left of the bowl... No pics of that one. The more I poked around under Silver fixing it up, the more I noticed that it was body rust that caused most of the problem. The left body mounts were all rusted and basically collapsed on that hard hit, essentially cancelling the body lift on the left side! I've got it spaced back up most of the way to where it was for now, but it's been demoted to road use for now on a set of 215's... Eventually it will be combined with a 97 I picked up recently and the 97 will be the new ride...

Well, lots of rust up front combined with lots of offroading with 33" swampers and no skidplate resulted in massive front frame carnage, mainly from the rust. The entire front frame section has pushed rearward allowing the tires to hit the firewall on tight turns and the bumpstops hit the front edge of the coils! :o That's what started me working on a new project rig, actually. If I get to go to Gonzukin next year, you'll get to see it!

We can do saturday and sunday I'll bring my TinTop and do stocker trails :D(since the real red wagon still isn't done :'() my brother will bring  the real red sammi and since this sounds like its not just a zuk thing 2 guys that we wheel with around here can bring there fullsize chebys down. there locked on 35's so they should be able to keep up (I hope ::) )

Is the campground that we stayed at for gonzukin going to be open? if not are there any cheap hotels we could stay at. It looks like we'll get there sat AM and go right to paragon then stay saturday night and wheel sunday. let me know whats up we'll be there LMS is stoked ;D
At Lakeview Motorsports, were wasting your time already!

I may be able to head up there for a day or so that weekend.  Cash is a little short so, I couldnt be there the whole weekend.  Right now all I have is my stock Tracker but, Ive wanted to check out Paragon for a while. Plus, itll be nice to meet some of you and see your uber-rigs. :)

come on out, you'll be challenged by some of the stuff, but you should make it, we wheeled with a stock late model tracker with IRS at gonzukin this year, he did fine, a little damage but most of it could've been avoided, he had never wheeled at all before either

absolutely!!! and if i manage to get mine going i got no problem leading a stocker group. Im kind of shying away from the too hard core stuff right now since i dont have my t-case gears at the moment until i rebuild that case.

Im back to stock gears on 32's with my 1.6L 8v so bunny trails will be a good thing.

Ill try to head up one of the days then.  Im only located over near Bloomsburg so, its not too far of a drive.  I think if I stay on the stocker trails, Ill be fine.  I have offroaded before but, nothing major.  I mainly like trails around my area that seem to have been created by ATV riders.  I can get through just fine on them.

Of course, If I can get some money before then, I may have some coil spacers from Digger sent my way ;)
