ok does anyone know if there are any other suzuki vehicles  or other makes that match the diameter and tooth count on the track kick power steering pump.
I'm wondering if I can scavage the shaft with u joint from something else and make it work.

(Someone throw me a fricken bone here)

Pump or the steering box ???

Why can't you use the stock parts and modify as needed ?

Im supposed to go to the junk yard tomorrow afternoon after work,  the last time I was there they had 3 kicks and 2 sammies.  I will take a peek inside the engine compartments and see what they have and how much they want for what they got...

the question is, exactly what are you looking  for?

i converted my tracker to power steering. i took all the steering gear off a slightly newer model sidekick in a wrecking yard. i pulled the steering shaft from the very end if the steering column rught by the firewall. the p/s unit had a rag joint. the manual had a ujoint. i separated the steering shafts usung heat and a hammer. i used the manual upper shaft and the power lower shaft. they went together snuggly, but will sill compress in the event of an accident.

ok what I'm trying to do is make a steering shaft that has u joints on both ends for my Samurai.
I bought all the required stuff from locjaw.
In the process of working with the track kick shaft it fell off my work bench and messed up the teeth that slide onto the end of the power steering gear box. so that now it will not slide onto the power steering box.
So I'm looking for another ujoint end that fits onto the power steering box. which means that I need the entire shaft. Or if anyone knows where I can buy the piece that trailtough and calmini sell in there kit,

I need a rag joint eliminator. is what I need.

Gots to go to work more later.

Dude you'll get a nice work out without power steering.
I can't wait to put bigger tires on the kick without PS.
