Lockright Rear Locker
« on: October 21, 2005, 02:45:40 AM »
Hi there,
This is a question to everybody having installed a rear lockright to a Sidekick.
Mine is late 89. Installed a Lockright a few month ago. Already had one in my Samy before.
My question:
When u have your transmission in neutral position, how much of bearing play have u got when trying to turn the cardan shaft by hand?

I´ve got about 45 degrees from stop to stop.
Is this normal?
I ordered mine from rocky road and when fitting it into the diff housing the locker was about 1/3 inch smaller in diameter then the inner side of the diff. ???
(Hope u understand what I mean...)
 ???
Thanx
Daniel

Lockers create a lot of play like that,
the question is, does it work ???

Hi,
sure it works. It was not 45 degrees. Just about 20.
Just had a look at the manual. They write its normal like that.
Thanks
