samurai check engine light
« on: March 17, 2005, 05:22:51 PM »
Just got my first sammy with 79000 mi on it. At exactly 80000 my check engine light came on. Is that scheduled in the odometer or is something maybe really wrong. How do I turn light off,   thanks ???

Might try the age old trick of disconecting the battery for about 5 to 10 minutes to let the ecu reset?

So that's what that switch is for. I thought it was part of the crappy ass alarm that they put in my Sammy that I ripped out since if they are going to steal it going through the back window is not going to set the alarm off. ;D

I believe that you hit that switch after you have replaced your O2 sensor at 80,000 miles.
